Uni-Girls

                Chapter 1

Mrrt! Molly woke up to her kittens Emmy and Inkey standing with their front paws on her stomach. “Hi there!” Molly laughed. “Want some love?” she stroked Emmy’s soft snowy white back and patted Inkey’s fluffy gray head. Both kittens purred in response.  “Come on babies,” Molly said. “Let’s go for a ride.” Running a comb through her loose reddish curls she pulled in a ponytail, slipped on jeans and a silky navy blue shirt over her favorite swimsuit, than she grabbed a banana and walked out the door with the kittens still purring at her heels.

Molly walked toward the Unicorn Barns to get her unicorn, Sunset. As she walked into the barn she greeted the unicorns. “Hi, Snowflake, Thunderstorm, Midnight, Sky, Cloud, Sniffles, Jet, Mocha, Honeycomb, and…….” Molly took a deep breath. “Sunset.” she said smiling. Sunset whinnied. Inkey and Emmy wiggled through the stall’s bars to greet him. “So boy,” she said. “Let’s ride to Falls Cove.” Falls Cove was a secret place behind the waterfall that only her and her best friend, Anna knew about it. “Let’s go Sunset. You too Inkey and Emmy. We’re supposed  to meet Anna in five minutes.” Molly said checking her watch. She opened the stall door for the huge reddish bronze unicorn. Picking up a shimmering gold halter, Molly buckled it on Sunset, along with a basket she had made to carry the kittens, that also held her towel. She led him to a mounting block and climbed on.  Raising her hand to the other unicorns, she kicked her heels to Sunset’s sides and galloped into the mist.

Molly and Sunset galloped through the soft grass of the village in the forest waving to everyone they passed. Nearly everyone in the village knew them. Molly’s father owned a popular breeding stable and Sunset was one of the main studs. As she galloped past the Martin’s house she slowed Sunset to stop. Mrs.Martin was leading a beautiful golden unicorn around the house. “How is Goldie doing?” Molly asked. Goldie was one of Sunset’s foals, she had been born six months  ago by the Martin’s other unicorn, Gem.

“Naughty as ever.” Mrs.Martin replied as Goldie tugged at the lead and did a little buck. “Off to visit with Anna?”

“Yep.” replied Molly as the kittens trotted up panting. “Come here little ones. You can ride in the saddle baskets I made you,” she said swinging down and putting the kittens in the baskets. “Stay there Sun,” Molly backed up and ran toward Sunset. “Up we go!” she said as she jumped onto his back. “Bye Mrs.Martin!” she called as Sunset plunged into a steady gallop. “Bye Goldie!” then they disappeared toward the waterfall.

                Chapter 2
When Molly reached the waterfall she let Sunset drink from the river before going to Falls Cove, As he drank Molly gazed at sparkling water cascading down the side of the beautiful waterfall. When Sunset finished his drink she pulled herself away from the fall, remounted Sunset and galloped toward the water. They burst through the waterfall with glittering water droplets flying around them. Anna stood watching with her unicorn Raynfall next to her. “Oh, there you are!” she gasped. “Rayn and I have been waiting for ages! We have sooooooo much to tell you!”

“Well let me cool Sun down than I’ll listen to your news. Molly said trying not to giggle. Anna always got over excited about everything and since she was hyperactive she jumped around while Molly got the kittens out. Finally Anna could tell the news.

“Guess what?” she said between pants. “We have new neighbors!” Anna nearly screamed. “I can’t wait to meet them!”

“Wow!” Molly was almost as excited as Anna was. “I can’t believe it! And I can’t wait!” she tried to calm down. “Do you want to go swimming now?” she said pointing to a clear pool of water. “It’s getting hot.” Molly lifted her shirt showing her spotted swimsuit.

“Oh yes!” said Anna. “But first I must get Smoky and Patch. I forgot I brought them!” she said lifting the kittens out of a similar basket to Inkey and Emmy’s. The girls had made the baskets together from reeds by the river.

“Great!” Molly smiled as the kittens walked over and greeted each other. The kittens were sisters and brother, Anna and Molly rescued them when they were little. Just then Molly giggled. The kittens were curling around her and Anna’s legs, purring.

Anna giggled too. “Let’s swim to escape these purring beasts!” she said pretending to look terrified. They both laughed, slipped off their clothes and ran screaming into the cool pool. They shouted as the cold water rushed around their chests. Molly held her breath and dove into the sparkling water. She looked around underwater staring at the amazing glittering rocks and shells. A small brightly colored fish swam by tickling Molly’s nose. Molly looked over and saw Anna under water also. Molly waved then swam up for a breath. As she reached the surface, she gasped for breath then sat on a nearby rock. Than checking to make sure that Anna was out of the way she cannon balled into the deepest part of the water. Anna popped up behind her.  “Boo!” she shouted. Molly jumped, spinning around smacking her ponytail into Anna’s face.

“Sorry,” said Molly. “I’ll get you next time!” both girls started to giggle as Molly chased Anna around the pool. Finally Anna collapsed on the shore.

“O.K, I give up,” she panted grinning as Molly plopped down next to her. “Let’s get our towels, now It’s really cold!” Both girls ran towards the unicorns to get their towels. Molly dried off quickly and yanked her clothes back on.

“Do you want to come over for lunch?” Molly asked Anna drying off her damp red ringlets. “I’m sure Mom wouldn’t mind, you come over a lot unexpectedly and she always makes too much food for us to eat.”

“O.K, Let’s just stop by my house to check with my mom.” Anna replied pushing her thick blond hair out of her face, then pulling on her purple t-shirt. The two scooped up their kittens and jumped on their unicorns.
They galloped rapidly along the dirt road and headed south.
Once they reach the barns, they parked.
“Do you mind watching him for a sec?” As Anna hopped off.
“Not at all” Molly replied.
“I will be right back!” Anna called as she ran into the house.
A minute later, Anna walked out to meet Molly.
“ She said I have to clean Rayn’s stall” She said with a disgusted face. Usually, a farm hand came everyday to clean the stalls, water, and all those things.
“Who is ‘She’?” asked Molly.
“My ‘Baby-Sitter’” Anna said with a even more disgusted face,
“She makes me do everything. Even wash her dishes.”
Molly was amused.
“And this morning, she said, “Clean your room Annabeth”, No one can ever calls me Annabeth!
“Annabeth!?” Molly exclaimed grinning
Her friend frowned,
“Yes, its my real name, and its embarrassing!” She did a sad, exaggerated  sulk. But Molly Said she would help her out, after all, it was only one stall.
It took thirty minutes for the girls to finish, and after that they headed over to Molly’s.

  Chapter 3
Mm,mm,mm!” said Molly as she polished off her glass of milk, then started on the pumpkin pie. The two girls watched there unicorns grazing in the soft, long, grass. Rayn snorted and plunged his head into the sweet grass. Sunset was rolling all over, he rolled right into Rayn! Rayn was so surprised, he leaped five feet away! The girls laughed and held their stomachs till they ached!
